TUNNEL VISION

Tunnel Vision is a mixed medium stop motion and 2D animation film I took part in over the span of 15 weeks in a team of 9 people during Spring of 2023 at UCF. Our titular character Lou is obsessed with his PC game Legend Lands to an unhealthy extent, unwilling to pause even if the game itself is warning him not to press on.

I worked on the visual development for this film, my main goals were to emulate RPGs of the early 2000s and to show the passage of time in the game itself. This would lend to our theme of the main character Lou spending an inordinate amount of time playing the game.

Early concept work of the video game environment and the interior sketches of our stop motion set. I also designed the posters that decorate the stop motion set, I mainly referenced early 2000s pop culture.

I also animated on the film, on the left I completed the key frame animation for this scene and on the right I completed the keys, inbetweens, and flat color for that scene.
